Card Condition - Singles

Condition guide for Singles

At TCG Bulk, we use clear condition categories so that both buyers and sellers clearly understand the quality of the cards being exchanged. Below is an overview of our card condition scale:

Near Mint (NM)

Cards in Near Mint condition show very minimal signs of wear. They have an almost perfect appearance with crisp corners and smooth, clean edges. Although you might see slight edge wear or very minor scratches, the card looks nearly unplayed. Note that even a minor manufacturing defect—like a miscut—can sometimes cause a card to be classified as Damaged if it noticeably affects its overall look.

Lightly Played (LP)

Lightly Played cards have been handled a bit more than Near Mint cards. They may display minor edge wear, slight scuffs, or a few light scratches, but these do not compromise the card’s overall integrity or playability. The visible imperfections are few and minor, and the card remains in very good condition overall.

Moderately Played (MP)

Moderately Played cards exhibit more visible signs of wear from use. This category includes noticeable edge wear, surface scratches, and the occasional crease or bend. While these imperfections are more apparent than in Lightly Played cards, they still allow the card to be used in gameplay without affecting its performance. Our guidelines provide specific measurements to help determine if a card fits this category.

Heavily Played (HP)

Heavily Played cards show significant signs of use, including a variety of visible imperfections. You may notice numerous creases, advanced edge wear, or whitening. Despite these defects, the card must still maintain sufficient structural integrity and be easily recognized as authentic. No damage in this category should interfere severely with the card's usability.

Damaged

Damaged cards present extensive wear or imperfections that impact both their appearance and, sometimes, their functionality. This condition may include cards with deep scratches, significant bending, tears, or other forms of severe damage. Additionally, any card marked by foreign substances—such as food or liquid—is not accepted for sale through our platform. Buyers who purchase cards in this condition are encouraged to review detailed photos and descriptions provided, ensuring they fully understand the card’s state.

Important Seller Note:

Each seller is responsible for sending cards that accurately reflect the stated conditions. Failure to do so may lead to submission adjustments with price deductions. If you are not an expert at assessing card conditions, always communicate clearly with your buyers regarding the card’s condition to avoid any misunderstandings.
